Superintendent

DR Maritime is seeking a proactive and experienced Marine Superintendent to join our management team and oversee the daily operations of our fleet of 18 vessels.

As a Marine Superintendent, you will be a vital part of our team, ensuring compliance with regulatory
standards, delivering effective safety management, and collaborating with crew, shore staff, and clients to achieve operational goals and minimise risks. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role offers you the
opportunity to shape the success and efficiency of our fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management: Develop and implement safety management systems (SMS) to meet HSE
    standards and vessel certification requirements.
  • Operational Performance: Monitor vessel performance, identify risks and drive operational efficiency.
  • Project planning: Support planning and execution of mobilisations, projects and other operational activities.
  • Client Liaison: Maintain clear, accurate communication between offshore teams and clients.
  • Travel: Provide on-site operational support by visiting vessels at various contract locations.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Background as a 2nd engineer, chief engineer, chief officer, or Master is strongly encouraged.
  • Experience as a Marine Operations Superintendent with small commercial vessels is highly desirable.
  • Applicants with relevant operational management experience in the maritime sector are also welcome to apply.
  • UK Citizen or right to work in the UK.

Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, SMS and vessel certification processes.
  • Proactive and adaptable with the ability to take initiative and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
